    Bitrate for OiNK

I'm a member of OiNK and have a lot of albums with this info.

    Album........: 6 Feet Deep
    Artist.......: Gravediggaz
    Genre........: Hip Hop
    Label........: n/a
    Catalog.No.: n/a
    Tracks.......: 02
    Duration.....: 148:13 min
    Size.........: 200,6 MB
    Quality....: VBR kbps / 44,1khz
    Mode.......: joint-stereo
    Release Date.: may/24/2007

Basically at oink your Bitrate isn't allowed to drop below 192 kbps and i was wondering what bitrate is Quality....: VBR kbps / 44,1khz and if it suitable for uploading to Oink.

VBR means the song is at a variable bitrate, so the song could be good or bad quality - you need to find what the average bitrate is. Chances are that your music is either V2 or V0 VBR if you grabbed it from a decent source, and if so it will be fine for OiNK. There's a little free app called MrQuestionMan that will give you all the info you need to know about your music's quality.

If they are scene rips then they are V2 which is allowed at Oink if 192Kbps isn't on there already.

Be careful with transcodes though. I have seen many transcodes being released be some groups. Up a transcode at Oink and you are likely to lose your +

Foobar displays the changing byte rate at different parts of songs. Also i can highlight the song with the cursor and it will display the byte rate. 192 is a old set rule, since oink was started when audiogalaxy collapsed and people was still using kazaa and others to download low graded mp3'z to seed on oink.

ur stuff seems to be a scene release and as it's VBR so , it's encoded in V2/APS preset ,
V2/APS & V0/APX are allowed in OiNK even they drop below 192 kbps but be sure this not a transcode ,,
there's a simple FREE app i use to figure out my music quality & encoding option , called "audio identifier" , u can dl it from here ...
