    yellow faces on azureus

    Hi,

I have the problem with the yellow not-so-smilies on azureus. I have changed the port on azureus as recommended because many providers block it or something, but when i test the NAT thing it just times out.

My downloads are coming in, so it is working, albeit slowly. I can't find anything on my firewall to change the ports to match that on azureus, is this the problem? I can't find a guide on how to do this for my particular firewall, which is the one that comes with Talk Talk broadband. F-Secure, or something. I keep that on High, which doesn't cause problems with anything else, including Ares. I tried Frostwire but that never connected so i gave up after a while.

I should point out i'm an absolute beginner when it comes to talking about port-forwarding, so be gentle, but any advice welcome.

My computer has also started running ludicrously slowly from start up, I also have Ares, i want to stop these programs running automatically from startup to see if this will remedy it but don't know how to do this. Any ideas?

    Thanks a great deal

Hi i dont know if you have had any luck but as Moha2k7 suggested you need to open ports that Ares is using.
You can try configuring your firewall to allow Ares through. You should be able to tick a exceptions box in your firewall and type in the port number that Ares is using.

cheers for the info guys, but these were things i have already done. Went into my homehub configuration, application sharing, ensured that the tcp and udp would aloow said port. ensure my vista firewall was allowing azurues through. Very strange that all of a sudden it fails to work.

I have just installed utorrent, configured the ports etc but that is giving me the same problem. "It appears port 55108 is not open".......i have been port forwarding for a while now and have never had problems......

    aghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

    :D
