My current briadband connection has an upstream of 448 Kbps.
When i'm seeding torrents the maximum upload I can achieve is around is 50 kb/s.
Is this correct or should i be able to upload at higher speeds. If so what could be limiting me?
My settings in utorrent are set to not limit the upload speed.
Set your upload limit to 70% - 80% of total upload capacity limit. You need some bandwidth for packets to direct upload & download traffics. Also, this will leave some room for web surfing & emailing, etc.!

448 kilobits = 56 kilobites
I'd set your upload limit to < 40KB to allow for overhead
ok - thanks for the replies. assumed it would have been higher then that but i guess if thats correct then i can't complain.
