didnt watch it yet, but heard it very good. so i would say 7.5.
good movie
the fountain is an amazing, amazing film. i've seen it three times and it gets better every time! i honestly think its better than pi and requiem for a dream. i've gotten many of my friends into this movie and they also love it.
one interesting fact that i like about the movie is that all the astronaut scenes, which are very visual, contain no CGI rendering. what darren aronofsky, the director/writer, did was he used micro cameras and filmed chemical reactions under a microscope. he said that he wanted the movie to seem timeless, so to pass the test of time. as opposed to being a heavy cgi film.
i highly recommend the fountain. when watching for the first time, just appreciate the beauty of the film, feel the explicit/complex emotions but dissect the plot later.

Saw it while back, its not the worst thing, and probably the best thing Hugh could do. I hate to see him classified as a x-men.
The trailer was nice but the movie...
Grr so many conflicting reports on this movie.. guess I'll just have to check it out and hope I don't miss those couple of hours of my life if it sucks.
