I have no idea but it should be looked into. I don't have need for it at the moment but I wanted to see if it was effective, which it was.

Whether the sites consider it to be cheating is important to know.

    Exclamation Warning Cheaters!

New system in place thats already paid off and catching users that think it's ok to steal other users bandwidth with out having to do there share on the site.
We are now able to monitor users torrent activity and can easly see when a user has cheated using passkey mod's and such like.
If you have been using the passkey hacks that are going around or using a hacked client to do the same thing then Beware we have you tagged now.
The big old banning stick has already been used on a few users on the test script we had in place but as of today all accounts that have over a 75% chance of being a cheat are shown on one page for staff to check up on.Before staff had to go to each users account to see if they were or not. Most of the time staff stumbled on these cheats after another problem shown or reports from other users about rouge IP's while seeding a torrent they uploaded.
For a look at the report page go http://www.dididave.com/bitbucket/pa...eat%20page.JPG
If your names in the list sorry but staff will be contacting you soon anyway !!!!!!

If you cheat here you will be found as we aim to catch each and every one of you that thinks it ok to cheat other users on the site of there bandwidth.

Greedy Torrent seems to be a front for Net Sentry Corp. It seems they thought up a cheap way to catch people downloading. Don't Trust me? Greedy Torrent sends data back to this IP 69.26.160.56 on port 80. The IP belongs to Net Sentry

Test it out. Download it. Start Peerguardian or Protowall with the latest IP blocks. See for yourself.

I found this out as I help my friend admin a tracker site. We started getting complaints from some users not being able to connect to the tracker. Who we latter found to be using GreedyTorrent. It seems the program sends data to the tracker but at the same time is gathering info and sending it back to the Net Sentry IP each time the track would refresh in the torrent client.

I'm not expert so hopefully somebody better than me can weight in. In short. It seems we don't have to worry long about this program. Those people low enough to use it are giving their IP's right to the RIAA on a sliver platter
