upgarading... HELP NEEDED PLEASE
I want to upgrade my computer and I'm not a techno, so need some advice. The motherboard is an EP-MVP4M and it says the features are:
' Intel Pentium Processor, Pentium Processor with MMX technology, AMD K5/K6, Cyrix 6x86L/6x86MX & idt C6 operating at 133-500 MHz with 321 ZIF socket 7 provides scalability to accept faster Processors in the future.' (this is out of the manual).
In the start up system information it says K6-2 500MHz Now what I want to know is, how do I upgrade from 500MHz please. Any comments or advice much appreciated.

Sorry, if you want a faster clocking cpu, you are going to have to get a new motherboard. I wouldn't even suggest one without knowing what you want to accomplish with the upgrade.

Mr Roboto
I'm not very techie either.. but I doubt you can upgrade(if at all) to a very fast chip w/ that motherboard. Intel tries to make you get a new board it seems w/ their changing pin configurations..
anyway.. i'll just recommend some sites for ya to check out. They're sites i used while working on upgrading my pc.
www.pricewatch.com can find the best prices for stuff there
www.anadtech.com good reviews on products
www.tomshareware.com good reviews on products
hope at least those sites help ya out some :)
