I have an issue I would like to post however I just signed up and couldn't figure out how to post only reply to an existing thread? Anyway my issue is a couple of weeks I upgraded one of my CDR drives to a DVD-RW and it was recognized and setup correctly with no conflict and works just fine however ever since then when I startup my computer it sits for several minutes on the screen that used to fly by so fast you couldn't even read it. This is the screen where it displays the system BIOS and recognizes the primary master and slave and seconday master and slave which it does very quickly and displays they are recognized and working correctly and then just sits there for several minutes before moving to the splash screen for widows once this happens it boots up windows in less than a minute as I have a fast system and keep it very clean (2.6 gigahertz processor and over a GIG of RAM) I thought it must be a conflict with the new drive however I disconnected both secondary drives and still had the delay. Any ideas on what would cause this?
