    dvdxcopy issues

    trying to backup a dvd and get an error that the dvd is css encrypted and it cannot backup the disc? anyway around this

    i also tried dvd shrink with no compression (since i am using dual layer) and after about a minute into the backup i get this error

    "failed to read file "d:\"
    data error (cyclic redundancy check)

    I'm not guaranteeing anything, but try this.

    Take the movie back out. Reboot your computer. Put the movie in, but hold shift while it spins up [until the reading light goes out and stays out on your burner] to prevent autoloading. Then try DVDshrink.

    Works on most.

    are you kidding me?

    dvd shrink gives me some data error can't read drive d:/ bla bla or something.. i am trying DVD Decrypter now, seems to be working...although i dont know how to burn after doing this

    Not really. The only time I've had that cyclic redundancy check was when I let the cd load unchecked.

    If it outputs an image use nero or deepburner [free] to burn the image. Both can wizard you through it. You could also just use an emulator to watch it from wherever to rip it to.

    Have you tried using a older version of dvd shrink

    Sometimes DVD Shrink won't cut it, and the sound and video will be out of sync on a rip to another format, like Xvid.
