Military shows off new ray gun

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. - The military calls its new weapon an "active denial system," but that's an understatement. It's a ray gun that shoots a beam that makes people feel as if they are about to catch fire.

Apart from causing that terrifying sensation, the technology is supposed to be harmless — a non-lethal way to get enemies to drop their weapons.

Military officials say it could save the lives of innocent civilians and service members in places like Iraq and Afghanistan.

No action may be brought under this title alleging infringement of copyright based on the noncommercial use by a consumer for making digital musical or analog musical recordings.

I see this being used more in torturing than in any beneficial way that they are claiming.

I was reading about this in the paper today, appears to be safer then rubber bullets. I wonder what the effects are if you get over exposed to this thing?

I also wondered about this. In the right hands it could save having to use real bullets and possibly save lives, but it could also be used to torture people. Kinda scary.

it's ray has heat of around 50 degrees celcius and has a range far more than rubber bullets. I doubt this could be used as torture it would be about the same heat as a sauna. I think it will be more of a shock than a weapon.
