    Scheduling downloads in Azureus

    Hi,

Is there a way to schedule downloads in Azureus based on the time of day? I know I can get a bandwith throttler to do the same thing, but I was hoping there is a sneaky way to do it in azureus that I don't know about. A plugin perhaps?

Never mind, there is a plugin called speed scheduler that does what I was after.

    Problems with Azeurus Speed Schedule

    Hey

I'd thought I'd bump this thread rather than creating another.

I am having all sorts of problems with the rather simple tasks of creating a scheduler with the plugin Azureus Speed Scheduler.

My isp offers peak and off-peak download times. So I want to take advantage of the off-peak download time I want to create a schedule using the plugin.

    eg
    Peak (7am - 1am)
    Off peak (1am - 7am)

    This is what I did

    Schedule 1 - Pause Downloads
    from 7am to 11:59pm

    Schedule 2 - Pause Downlosds
    from 12am to 1am

After the schedule is set, I then queue the torrents I want to start. I am assuming that the torrents with not start physically downloading until 1am.

But, the schedule appears to be ignored and begins downloading at full speed.

    Troubleshooting

I created a second set of schedules as an exercise

Schedule 3 - No Paused Downloads with speed shaping at 1kps

Schedule 4 - Paused Downloads but left speed shaping ticked at 1kps (the speed box is now grey)

After the schedule is set, I then queue the torrents I want to start. The schedule appears to be ignored and begins downloading at 1kps.

This occurs for both schedule 3 & 4

I have also restarted Azeurus but to no effect

I have restarted my computer with no effect

I have read the faq and examined the problem with time with the plugin "Time - Environment Settings" but this does not impact me.

    Any thoughts?
