    No kiddin'
My first was the 2600.... I thought the 5200 was the greatest thing when it came out.:heart

Does anyone remember the name of that big brown thing you hooked to the TV and played Pong with it?

I've got an Atari (my dad's acutally) the funnest game in my opnion was Megamania. I wore out the cartridge I think. It doesn't even start up.

The genesis was pretty cool too, my fav was desert demolition with wile e coyote and road runner. I loved it cause it was so easy and so whenever I was feeling down I would go up and play for hours. I explored every inch of accessible area. And then that wore out too.

SNES is THE thing... zelda III alone could still keep me awake for many a night... not to speak of classics like donkey kong country, mario world, mario kart (all of these being equally addictive on N64), populous II etc etc etc...

to anyone who tried populous III.... is it any good? comparable to black&white?

ATARI 2600 was the greatest. Use to play space invaders on it all night.

    SNES Rules my ass!

It was a sad day when I traded in my SNES for a PSX, but now, through the magic of emulation, I can relive all the games that I had before (except now with 16 bit visual filters to make them look bitchin')

The SNES will always have the most fun, playable games. Check them out, they kick ass.

    (BTW, ZSNES is too cool)

Every system up until PSX and N64 were all classics in there own right......

Wingnut: Have you tried the eagle eye filter? Makes my games look crisp as hell.....does slow down older systems though.

I can recall being up almost all night playing Zelda (first one) trying to find hideouts/places to buy stuff by burning bushes....ahhhh memorys. Bomberman 1 was great too.

SNES....finding new things in Zelda III
DKC was good too.....3 got a bit lame.

Sega.....Sonic! From 1 on...I was hooked. The music wasn't the best but the beats were good. And the control system was fast.....not like some of todays 'hi tech' games.

Samjam I think you might be talking about a system called fairchild(not sure on the spelling) Im about to try to look through some of my accient video game mags to see if I can find More details. I also agree atari 5200 rocked when It cam out. I got pitfall 2 right away Because it was really the first game to offer more than 4 different screens.lol. Hidden areas and lots of secrets to find make it the father to all mario style side scrollers. But does anyone remeber adventure for atari 2600? A very primitive adventure game but It was the first game where a programer hid Secrets that not even atari knew where in the game. But that was when
games where made by one or two people. My vote for best system though would have to be the nes. It had Alot of quality games that broke new ground in terms of game play and the controllers where a gift from god!! sorrry I rambled on there I just love video games

the snes had good memories with me, i kept on playing zelda 3, then super mario world ruled, along with mario kart, mega man x series was good 1, and 2 were the best, super mario all stars was a real treat for me, i enjoyed playing the old mario games from 1 to 3, and lost levels. the genesis was good also, i loved sonic the hedgehog 3. my first pc game i played was sim city 2000 back in 1995. damn the memories are good.
