I'm looking at upgrading to an LCD is a widescreen lcd a way to go or is it not worth it? Thoughts?
Im using a 32" 16x9 HDTV monitor
Checking my email is lke going to the theatre and sitting in the front row :D
You probably do not want this much area but you'll love having an LCD.
.
32" just leaves me speechless.
Now stop being so freaking nice, and buy a stun gun. - Krell

I am going to be getting a 40" 1080p Samsung LCD in the spring when I get a new pc that can actually out put games at the resolution. For now though I'm just looking for a replacement for my CRT so widescreen is the way to go for LCD's
I've just bought a 22" Samsung 225BW. I would definitely recommend it, it's a fantastic monitor, especially for the prices they go for.
Some people have had problems with backlight bleeding but I think that's been pretty much eliminated now. Best 22" I reckon.

I can't find a cheap enough widescreen lcd with a 2ms response :(
I guess Im the balbber mouth huh?lol I would like a hi deg tv for myself but thats not on the menue to well after christmas. My 19 inch VDS circa 1999 wihh have to do me. ;( I do have dual monitor set up for my 36 inch standard tv but only for movies, any script is blur unless I up the font size.
So Krell, would you recomend a hi def tv or a monitor? Value VS quality? Your thoughts?
EDIT: The edit function is screwy
Hard as ever and here to make you people believe...as long as there is one person to hold hope and dream...A GOD...will never die!
My PC has always been my TV until I bought this LCD HDTC Tuner that I have comcast connected to.
I use this for both PC and TV now.
With a TV tuner card, you can watch tv while surfing the web, now I have to use the remote and chose PC or TV.
.
maybe I'll get the 21" widescreen with 5ms then?
Have bought one myself too. Best buy i made in the last months. Backlight bleeding is minimal, and it has great colour and response, even though it is a TN panel. I definately recommend it.
By this time, the Samsung 226BW is also out, and it seems to be a step up in quality. Any of those 2 is my recommendation :icon_thum
i recommend a Hp LCD monitor are very cheap
Zomg! I'm looking for a lcd monitor, and my strongest selection is this Samsung 22" you bought. How about the refresh rate? Is it good enough? I'm asking because I want it for video editing. I know that LCDs are not good enough for image and video editing but I have been sick with my monsterous 21" EIZO CRT. LCDs are just finest!!
