    Free AOL Anti-Virus

Hey...has anyone heard of this ?

It uses Kaspersky Labs antivirus engine, which from what I hear is excellent. May be a good alternative to AVG and a few others. I may give it a try myself.

I hear ya. But no, it actually doesn't look bad...even if it does have AOL's name on it. Kaspersky is damn good AV, which it's engine is based on. I will definitely give it a try for free.

It apparently needs a registration email, but I have no problem with using, [email protected] for all my registration needs.

It's pretty good, better than AVG anyway. Here is a good review of it.

Hey guys, I don't care what people think about AOL or their products. I simply wanted to put the product on the table for examination, as it does appear to be new. If you like it, great, if not, what do I care?

Dont worry RACKnRAIL im not making of the post or even the product itself more the company, just a poke at aol and maybe a little bit on its users. The product actually looks promissing.

AOL antivirus works great for me :) Very speedy. It doesn't use an extraordinary amount of resources either.. Though mine says it's based on McAfee

Maybe I have an old version though :)

EDIT: I am actually talking about the AOL safety and security center. Interesting that they have 2 different virus scanners...

I actually DO plan on checking it out....was just reminded how my mom still has AOL and has been trying forever to cancel.....

everytime I go to her house and go online I want to shoot myself because the connection speeds so slow.....just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach

but, yes I do intend to check it out.....:icon_sunn

I have an open mind, I'll try it. Maybe AOL is making with the free services I was hearing about some time ago.
