ok i was suggested to use Pinnacle Studio 10 on another computer which i cannnot do on my laptop because it wont install. (plus i have a recent critical virus/malicious spyware problem on the laptop that needs to be sorted out) so help me fix this so itll work on this comp. please.
im on storyboard view: i try to add a screenshot between clips and it wont add unless i drag & drop. well when i do that, it duplicates itself and replaces clips after it.
ive tried using timeline and text view but they wont add at all on there.
ive also tried using diff. screenshots and have tested w/regular images (i.e. done from graphic programs) they do the same thing.
replacing one of the clips that are deleted by the screenshot wont work either..it does the same thing.
i have tested with many clips and they all do the same thing.
btw, these screenshots are saved images on my computer.

ive had this problem for a long time. ive tried everything i could think of. i thought maybe it was a problem with Directx. no, DirectX is working fine.

Myself, I did not like Pinnacle. I just d/l sony vegas to try out.

You may end up having to format, if the virus/spyware has damaged your system, but if you like an online virus scan may help. Microtrends, Housecall scans for viruses and malware and can possibly remove them. Also Bitdefender has an online scan that isn't too bad.

ok my laptop is beyond help..like i said its a critical problem i did full system scans w/Ewido and Defender Pro (Spyware & Virus Removal) used Cleanup and cleared the cache. also looked through c drive manually a little to see if i could spot a threat. did House Call this morning twice, it got closed in the middle of scan and i think thats the same thing that happened to BitDefender too. and now my laptops battery died even though it was plugged in..guess i have to leave it sit for a while.
but im not really worried about this for my video because as i said i could not install software on laptop anyway...that happened in the beginning w/an error. (NOTE error on another thread here if youre wondering)


so could someone plz help me on fixing this video problem? cuz im not going to use a diff. software.. i already have my project on there saved and i REALLY want to finish it.
