Hello, I joined a few days ago. I want to download tv shows and music, but i'm not sure how to begin. A few weeks ago I found a website with a program called Ares Ultra. I couldn't get any shows but some short videos and music. I had to pay for it with my debit card. At first I was reluctant but I decided to do it. I don't want to get viruses and trojens from unreliable sources. I got a lot of music but some of the songs were not coming thru properly. Only one track would be audible and it came out of both speakers. Sometimes the volume level varied too much between songs. Somebody who knows more about computers than I do told me about Kazaa Lite, so here I am. I'm going to read the instructions and I'll let you know how it turns out. When I get the hang of it, I have lots of music which I will contribute to the group. I've only been on the internet for 8 years so I'm still an ameteur. I found the introductions forum but when I tried to post, I ended up here.

8 years is a long time. It all depends on what you've been doing with your time during those 8 years. No one expects you to have been online since Online began.
