    Problems with partitions, linux, etc.

Its been a while since I last posted here, here I go.
It all began after installing Windows XP Pro. I have Fedora Core 5 installed on my computer but now every time I load it up and try to load up my Windows XP Pro afterwards I find that a file by the name of hal.dll is missing or corrupted from the system32 folder. This problem started happening for me every time after I booted up my linux and then tried loading the Windows afterwards.
Any suggestions on what to do?
