This, however is a problem that I haven't seemed to be able to find any info on, and I'm frustrated to a level I didn't think possible.
I've downloaded several torrents now that have burned flawlessly to DVD. On some though, the video rolls like a slot machine, pissing me off and making me dizzy. Ironically, these are usually the movies I most want to see. What up wit dat? Is it me? What did I do to deserve it? Please someone help!
What software are you using to burn your DVD's?

Check your DVD player to see it can handle both NTSC & PAL video formats, otherwise it can only play one of the format! If it can only play one of the format, you will need to convert that video to the correct format!
Where are you from?? USA, its NTSC and pal format videos will do that.. If your in the UK, NTSC videos would do that. You can convert or stick to your own format. Like many of us on here, we buy things that can handle PAL and NTSC.. Its about frame rate.
Thank you for the replies. I am in the U.S. and i've been using Win AVI to burn them. What should I use? What kind of things do you buy that can handle PAL and NTSC?

In the U.S., it's not just DVD player needs to support PAL video format, you will also need to have your TV also support both NTSC & PAL formats. Check the setup menus or the manuals on your devices!
The best thing to do is, when you download a video file check to see if it's NTSC compatible or find another one. Otherwise, if you really want to watch the video without converting is watch it on your computer!
Most tv's play pal and ntsc, there manufactured the same way and ship to all the different countries and cant manufacture different sets for different places. Dvd players came out not too long ago and was made to play one or the other and most now everyone plays NTSC and PAL. Check dvd player settings, you can select pal or ntsc and multi. Put it on a few to see. DVD decryptor burns movies and winavi i guess plays them on your PC? Just look at the NFO files posted, most will say what format they are.
