sting operation servers on eDonkey net?

Anyone else notice the IP addresses of the top eDonkey servers? These include The Longest Pirate, DonkeyServer No1, DonkeyServer No3, The Virgin Pirate, etc. They have IP addresses in the 72.51.37.xxx through 72.51.39.xxx ranges, ALL belonging to oingo.com - which is operated by Google. This seems strange to me. I notice a lot of other eDonkey servers in this range. Could this be part of a sting operation? I have been using the real DonkeyServer No2 server at 62.241.53.16 for years with no issues. I'm leery of using the others. Anyone have feedback on this?

... Are you following eDonkey news at all?

    The whole settlement etc?

Stop using it if you haven't. I didn't even know it still worked.

Is this the same as emule too? Can I connect to emule servers without a problem or is there something I should be concerned about?

If it does still work, it would be a good idea to stop using it. It's too much in the public eye.

The eDonkey network has helped me get countless amounts of stuff - a lot of rare stuff too. But I suppose you recommend Limewire or any of the other many Gnutella network clients. Now THAT'S old. All the P2P apps out there are vulnerable, period. I've yet to see an innovative design.

I'm still using eMule with the remaning real servers available, with much success.
