Last night I went on the network following the instructions to disconnect the network while I start the program to avoid their software removal program. I saw some people on. I guess this will eventually drop down to none?
No, eDonkey servers will serve different clients that's compatible with eDonkey server software. However, I don't know how the future will hold for eDonkey server software development, will it be continue to be develop we will have to wait & see? Otherwise, I'd suggest using eMule with KAD to be sure you can run p2p client independently of servers!
I seen this happen all to well.. Users with the files make a network, word of mouth gets out, and people that bring nothing to the table get on.. And then people spread the files around.. Later the ones with the files leave or migrate to somewhere else.. So i think pretty much the population will dwindle down to zero. No need to stay on if all the good files are off.. Plus your gonna have to keep connecting to different servers to find users and files. Could be a hassle.
Say what now? Emule is the way to tomorrow. I think this could be a good thing indeed.
