    In College, Can't Connect

    Please Help Me!

I'm a student at Indiana State University and finally have a very fast connection to the internet. I had WinMX at home and the program worked flawlessy on our cable modem. I get here, though, and the program never connects. It doesn't matter if I use a primary or secondary connection. I have a 2.4 gigahertz computer with 512 megs of memory.

If anybody has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    and I would of sworn

my man krell already replied to this exact same post in one or two other threads. whats up dogg, you got a cut and paste fetish or something?

heres a clue... follow the links in this or one of your other threads before they all get closed for cross posts or multiposts, whatever its called... and next time, you just need to post your question once, its easier on the site, the mod, and easier for you since all the answers and sarcasm you'll need will all be condensed into one handy dandy page. Imagine that!

    I hear ya

I was going to go look for them as well but decided that- since I have no means of physically hurling them at anyone- that it is just not worth the search. though I am guessing that there is one in the general p2p section and one in the lounge. but who really cares at this hour of the morning?

If only more people would use the SEARCH we could really cut down on all the duplicate threads.

If you have a home computer why not use a remote program like pc anywhere from the computer in college to control the computer at home to download!

It's not just the firewall.. I'm not sure if this is the UINDY place.. if it is they are using Packeteer/Packet-Shaper on their network, you can use some p2p's but they restrict your speeds to as little as 60 bytes/sec at times.. I'm working with a couple of people for ways to get arround packeteers products without needing to use HTTPTunnelling.

If you'd like to test different ports and connections on your college connection, PM me or email me. Protocol stack blocking is also making it increasingly hard for people to use tunelling apps. If you'd like to identify which ports are best for you to use, gimme a shout!!!

    Peace!!
