    MPAA Files Lawsuit Against Bakersfield Women

    Saw this on Slyck...apparently these two women from Bakersfield are in trouble with the law after they were caught selling movies they'd illegally downloaded.

    I think if they were really selling, they deserve to get the book thrown at them. And man, look at the fines. $30K *per movie*, and that's the low end. That is really freaking scary.

    Hits kinda close to home as grew up about 2 hours north of there. Lord of the Dense is from Bakersfield actually.

    Uh..well. I just happen to be living here. I would never call myself from this somewhat vile place. The difference betweem Soul's thread and this one is that this one got my attention with the word "Bakersfield." I will be availlable for grief (love) counseling should these women need it.
