    Talking Portable internet radio?

I can't wait for the day when portable radios which can receive internet radio to be released. Currently there is the Acoustic Energy's product but this is only good when you're in the house. Torian are producing a portable internet radio and at a relatively cheap price, see here.

Don't know if this has been discussed already but I thought I'd post it. :)

Really not a bad idea, but they may have problems loacting frequencies to broadcast on. I'd buy one as soon

    as the prices drop.

Yeah I'm thinking of buying a normal internet radio WIFI player thingy. The problem with WIFI is that you need a hot spot or something so it looks like they will need to use another connectivity type, probably satellite. No doubt by that time Micro SD cards would be increased in capacity to about 8GB and manufacturers will make recording available. Can see that being controversial though people can record internet radio on their PC though.

There is homebrew for the PSP that turns it essentially into an internet radio reciever. The bad part is, there WiFi isnt everywhere, and it doesnt automatically/seamlesly switch between available access points.

thats the kicker. Even if it was portable youd have to stay in range of the same access point otherwise youd have to keep switching to new ones. Thatd be a pain in the butt.

Even you want REAL radio portability you have to go Sattellite Radio......Sirius has a dope deal right now where for each buddy acount you add on at 7 bucks a month you get a free radio unit, which I had to pay like 100 bucks for when I first got it. So you may want to see if any of your buddys already have it to add you on or just buck up and get one for yourself.
