Need some help regarding on the speed

I read the guide that malicious posted, and followed EVERY steps there are to do, and my dl speed just wont improve, and there is still the NAT problem. I am currently dlding a 200+seeder xxxxxxxxxxxxx, the speed is constantly at 30-45kb/s, I have a cable @ 314kb/s dlding speed (Result from the speed test), so I dont know why it's so slow, it's kinda frustrating. One thing i dont get is when i type 192.168.2.1 in google, the firewall thing came up but i cant login, it says the password is blank, but I couldnt log in.
Sorry I am pretty nooby at this but I just dont get it, is there something I am doing wrong? thx in advance

Do not post the name of the file. Please edit it out, it's to protect both you & the site!

Go to www.portforwarding.com to get passed your router and disable windows xp firewall. Next thing is if speeds are constantly low,its probably tracker and other users issue. What malicious intent failed to tell people is that others may not be connectable and be behind firewalls them selfs. And users should look to private sites for best possible speed. So many will hit and run, lower and cap upload speeds to 3-5kbs. And it leaves you with 200 seeders uploading at 5kbs a piece, and everyone that wants the file absorbs all the speeds which leave you with nothing but a long wait and possible cease and desist letter.

And I don't really know how to portforward because when I forward my port to BT, it tells me to go to some site which has a login screen, and the default pass is blank but I cant log into it. thx in advance.

Did you try "admin" as the default password?

Wait a minute, you said you have speed capable of 314kb/s? Bittorent reports it's speed in KB, not kb, so your max bittorrent speed is 314/8 = 40kB/s.

You're maxed out already and you can't go any faster until you upgrade to a fatter connection.

All port forwarding does is make you connectable to others anyway, can impact speed in some situations but if there are already 200+ seeds then being connectable won't increase your speed.

All speed tests and advertised speeds from cable companies come in kilobits per sec (kb/s). BT reports speed in kilobytes (kB/s) per second, so 40kB is all you're going to get.

Comcast advertises 8Mb/s to my house. So on BT I max out at ~1024kB/s = 1MB/s.

no no you dont get what I mean...maybe I used the letters wrong but i ran it again, its 3140kb/s, that means its close to 3mb/s not 3mB, so basically i could get 3140/8=392kB/s. I am getting 70+ atm so it cant be 40kB that is the limit.

Ok, that makes more sense then, I was wondering what cable company is giving only 314k anyway, you have nice a 3Mb connection than and you should be going faster.

70 ain't that bad, for a public tracker anyway, there's probably a lot of leecher too right? Have you ever gotten above 70 on ANY torrent?

Yes, and very rarely I get 100-110 kB/s, but right now its between 40-60kB/s. Was wondering why it's so slow because most of the ppl have 300-500kB/s and they think thers a problem. So what could I do to improve it? 40-60kB is so far away from 300kB/s...

You're probably just on a slow public tracker and a lot of leechers on the torrent. I only get max speed when I use private trackers and the seeder to leecher ratio is low.

You should open your ports anyway though, but you'll need to know the router username and password, both should default to admin, but it sounds like somebody chaged yours along the way. Maybe somebody else has some ideas.

sorry for double posting but this is getting worse, I was at 50-60 kB/s yesterday but now its around 20kB/s. I have a 3mb connection and I dont see why it's so slow, shouldnt it be over 100kB at least? like come on. And also please tell me what to do exactly, like where to enble what and so on. Thanks in advance I really like this to work well :S
