    Cellphones with built in mp3s

okay, I don't know where I should post this thread but since it's kind of about mp3 player, here i go.

I got a Motorola v360 with a built in mp3 player yesterday and i was pretty psyched because i don't, unlike 99.9% of population, own a mp3 player.

I naturally thought I could transfer songs on it by using USB cable, but apparently, you have to have a port on your computer for transflash adapter - you don't transfer songs by using the usb cable, but the memory card IS your only means of uploading songs.

Inspiron 2200 is the latest version of software our family has and apparently it doesn't have a port/connector for this transflash memory card.

Anyone have any idea how i can still transfer songs on my cellhpone (without going on the internet on it and downloading songs after uploading at a servor) or how i can still use a usb cable to "fool" my computer into reccognizing my cellhpone as an external device? anything? anyone?

Did you check the Motorola web site to see they have software for your phone to transfer between computer & phone using USB ports?

I just checked. I can buy it for 30 dollars on this website: http://www.susteen.com/product_detai...ucthl=Notempty

but shouldn't programs like bitpim work the same way? what would be the difference between me buying this kit and just downloading bitpim for free?

I don't think bitpim works with your phone, but it's free so you can try it!

try looking at the sony ericsson w600i for cingular its nice phone with nice sound quality and since it a walkan phone you know it has an mp3 player with fm radio and a 1.3mp camera which takes great pictures. the only downside is it only has 256mb and its not expandable.

I have a motorola mp3 phone. You just need a simple adapter. It's just a usb stick that the trans flash card fits into. I then plug that into the usb port and viola.

There is a program called Motorola Phone Tools but I dont believe its free. Search BitTorrent for it. If you dont find it, I will send it to you.

I'm thinking of getting the Verizon VX8300. If I do, I'll be hitting up Ebay for software and a USB Cable. I'll be damned if I have to pay for MP3's from verizon just to have cool ring tones, etc.
