DAVID Duchovny has hinted that an X-Files revival could be on the cards with a second film following the exploits of agents Mulder and Scully. Asked at the New York premiere of his new romantic comedy Trust The Man whether there will be a sequel to the 1998 big-screen version of The X-Files, Duchovny replied: "Yes, we're all signed on." He added: "I think it could work very well as a sequel, an authentic franchise that will hold up - much more so than Mission: Impossible."

I just checked the imdb and there isn't anything posted about another movie comming out. It won't be gracing the big screen for another couple years.

Has it really been 8 years ago since that came out? 1998? My goodness time flys. I am excited because the last episode of x-files still had plenty left to resolve. MI 3 was ok, but the Mission Impossible movies just feel like they're missing something. It's hard nowadays to come up with an exciting premiss for a movie when it seems like everything has already been done.

Dam, Skully's been very naughty in the interim. I though she was part of the X-Files not the "T & A Files".... :)Originally Posted by Mels_Smileys45

I think it's time to serve an eviction to that neighbor.

I had to check.Actually she didn't have the kid yet.(It's the neighbors by the way.)
I wonder how many X-Files freaks would have sold their souls to be in her poor schlub husbands place?(It was actually less than 2 years ago they got married)And look at him now.
Wondering WTF happened.Run down by a BFH.(bitch from hell.)

Am I the only one who saw the obvious sarcasm from David Duchovny's words? Or is the joke on me and everyone got it.

Duchovny has actually been barking about a new files movies for years but so far thats as far as its got. At one point (2004) it was rumored a script was green lit but that seemed to pure BS as nothing ever happened. If IMDB has no rub on the film, it aint a project.

I can't really imagine them making another movie - as active as the fandom still is, I think a lot of mainstream moviegoers have forgotten XFiles, so half the moive would have to be exposition and recapping, much as I'd like to see one, 'cause I never felt like the finale did the show justice.Originally Posted by Mels_Smileys45
