you can use Kazaa like Will Rae suggested. It is fast but in my opinion the quality is laking. I myself use Overnet or Edonkey2000. Is not a fast but i wait for the quality. To each there own.

I have noticed that recently released popular movies seem to have a definite order of appearance in the p2p networks.

    1. newsgroups

    2. irc

    3. edonkey2000 network

    4. Fasttrack and winmx

By this I mean an identical file will progress through these networks in this order, and it will also start to disappear from the network in the same order.

For instance, for a movie that has recently been released on DVD, you might search in Kazaa or winmx, and find a few copies with the title ending in "ShareReactor" That means it was definitely released on edonkey previously, so check on the edonkey network and you will likely find many more copies.

But by the time you start finding lots of copies on winmx or fasttrack, you will likely no longer find many on edonkey.

This is just my own observation - your results may vary.

A movie file in video CD (VCD) or to SuperVideo CD format can be burned onto a CDR and should play in most home DVD players. (Some older players do not play SVCD's.)

Some .bin/.cue files are video cd's.

The common DIVX (AVI) format will play on a computer only, although a few DVD players are just now being released that will decode (play) them.

    Making a VCD/SVCD

I wasn't pleased with the quality of my movie in SVCD format. I'm going to buy a DVD burner, it's a lot less hassle.

I've had problems like that too.....I tried to like VCD an ooo an ahh at being able to watch them on a TV.....but they suck.....now I'm waiting for DVD burners to go down in price......while I wait I just output to a TV off my video card....or just turn my stereo system up loud as hell and watch the video on the monitor.

I hear that...I'm waitin' for them to get into the upper echelons of speed...4x is tops for DVD burners right now, and you know that in a year they'll have a 16x for cheaper than the 4x are now. I would really love to have one now though....I also can't wait for consumer DVD-Burners for TV to be standard fare(and cheap)...

Btw, did anyone else notice the hilarity of this?: http://media.fastclick.net/cid5957/media14410.gif
I wonder when Microsoft implemented that core matrix... :-P It's also good that whatever program that is seems to have "features" involving intentional Windows Crashes, low free memory, and the ability to check a box to make your system available to hackers.... :-P
