    Apple Releases Wireless Mighty Mouse

Apple has cut the cords off its Mighty Mouse. The Apple Mighty Mouse was released last year and was the first official Apple mouse to have more than one button. While not as much of a feat in the two-button Windows world, the Apple Mighty Mouse was more than an official two-button upgrade. Instead of having two actual buttons the Mighty Mouse was different, in a sense that it was touch sensitive and could detect right, left or squeeze mouse clicks. There was only one clickable button per say. It also offered a scroll ball that can scroll 360 degrees.

The new wireless Mighty Mouse is essentially identical to the wired Mighty Mouse except being cordless and all. Under the bright white exterior are a few technological changes. While the touch sensitivity remains, thee tracking system has been upgraded. This time around the wireless Mighty Mouse uses laser tracking which has greater precision. The wired Mighty Mouse still uses the old and trusted optical tracking technology.

Bluetooth provides wireless connectivity. The wireless range is rated around 30ft, which should be plenty of distance for most users. Apple’s wireless Mighty Mouse is a little flexible in terms of power sources. It only requires one AA battery to function but will accept two AA batteries for prolonged battery life.
