can't seem to get bittorrent speeds up...

i know how to foward ports. i've done it before, and it worked. when i got my new computer i obviously started doing bittorrent on it again, but i can't seem to forward ports anymore. i've followed instructions at portforward.com, but no use. why? i forwarded the ports. the stuff that comes in through azereus shoudlbe forwarded through it. but nothing happens. i'm also using bitdefender, i don't know if that makes a difference. i put azereus on the exceptions list on the firewall. and disabled the windows firewall. everything, i know is done correctly, i am sure. can anyone help?

Are you connecting to seeds and/or peers at all? Are you getting nothing or just getting stuff slowly?

How do you know its on your end? I know that if its 1 seed, or many leechers. Some leechers arent connectable cause there behind a firewall, and the seeder is sometimes enable encryption which you should enable so you can get data from that user instead of waiting for others to upload to you.

well i am getting seeds and leechers but even when there's like 160 seeds and 1550 leechers i get like 10 total...and even weirder, at the bottom of Azereus, it says NAT ok and sometimes for a while my torrents will also go green, but if i do a firewall/NAT test, it says there's a NAT problem. But then, sometimes my torrents go pretty fast even with a NAT, like right now i have one a ~70 kbs, but its from a private tracker. maybe its my router? i have gotten my ports forwarded before so maybe the router is acting old. and i guess i'll try doing a encryption, except i have beginner mode for azereus and don't want to stop my torrents yet. is there a way to upgrade to intermediate without installing? cuz i don't want to stop my torents and have to start all over

    Go to tools>options>mode

im having the same exact problem, i always get green smileys, but my dl speed is around 10-80 kbps.

Although around a week ago i was getting 200-400, all of a sudden it just sucked. I think it may be my gateway becuase ive followed nearly everyguide there is and its still done nothing. My upload speed is 512 and my download speed is about 7500 however when i run azureus it drops down to about 1800 down and 50 up

I am experiencing same problem as well, except my down speed is at 25-40 kbps atm. I am dlding a 200 seeders game but the speed wont improve anyhow. I did everything, firewall, good settings etc.
And btw how could i find out what my IP Address for my cpu? and I have no idea how to port forward either, whenever I type 192.168.2.1 in google and I cant log in.
