That sucks! I hate seeing torrent sites with virus activity. It reminds me of what Kazaa became in the end.

Yes, it seems the industry has almost turned public BT sites into the next kazaa. Lots of reports about bad and fake files out there. Whats strange is some sites seem to not care anymore and make little effort to delete these torrents.

Whats a virus, what the fuck is a trojan?? WHy the hell you going to public sites. Industry didnt turn public bt sites into kazaa, users did. No rules, no standards, no way of preventing, or protecting. Its chaos. Private sites delete these torrents, ban users from coming back. I guess you shouldnt diss a public site if you still use it.
Never had a virus on bit torrent, and can stop using NOD32 if i didnt have to worry about my wifes email account or ISP email account.

The movie industry has hired companies to seed fake movie files on BT sites, thats what I meant.

Whats the best way to prevent it when open torrent sites get 100,000 thousands of hits a day from anywhere in the world (Besides north korea, china, cuba). What can us mortal men and women can do to prevent this? I have tried everything in my power to do so. I'm out of ideas.

I do not think there is much people can do to prevent it without signing up to a site that the MPAA monitors for the FBI, thats why they do not send letters to people on private sites, they can not interfere with a criminal investigation, its not that they do not know they are there or are blocked from begging an invite. Its almost time for the yearly bust and its gonna be a big one for 2006. (opinion)
People can however report these files to the site admin and hopefully they will take care of such files. Back in the day they use to do a really good job of filtering out the bad content but it seems some sites do not care as long as they are getting hits. Ive heard some people blocking the IP of "Smokeblower" which is suppossed to help in some manner. I'm not really sure about all that.

One film is worth a 250,000 dollar fine, and time in prision.. so the MPAA just needs one film. Public bt sites got raided, what you think there gonna find on pirate bay servers? Torrents that have a IP address to announce to and connect to. Tracker logs? Private sites have learned from the take down of other sites. Not posting or having people upload pre-release movies from the theater or workprints, hidding user info and ratios, having it list people as annonamous rather then having user name plastered, deleting their cache and only storing the amount uploaded and downloaded. So no entity out there could have any evidence if it was a movie, music, software, game. Or something not owned by any media.
IF THE MPAA was monitoring a site, they would have substantial evidence to have it shut down. See how quickly ELITE torrents got shut down?? I wish i had the screen shot of the homepage.. Users appeared on the homepage to the log in screen.. And it had on there that the new Star wars III movie is on the torrent page. Which was evidence enough for someone to come on in there and shut it down. I wonder how many gigs mpaa will monitor from me downloading before shutting it down. I wish everyone had at least 20bucks a month for usenet as i encourage people to get all their films from there. But since they cant, then bt is the way. Bit torrent was never designed to be safe, just to share big files. It required a website to host a torrent(Which can be taken down), a tracker(which can be taken down), a user who is connectable and can be connected to download from (Which can be taken out by contacting their ISP). They now manage to get stuff situated to get around ISP that throttle bt traffic.

Your part of two porn PRIVATE bt sites. FBI warnings appear on each porn you download. You just sign up to the sites that justify your needs and wants. And diss everything else when you yourself are a member of private bt sites. Porn is a billion dollar industry from movies/videos, the fbi is close to taking you down.
And besides, deleting your account, closing your ISP account will take out any chances of you having trouble with the law.

From what Ive read, the porn industry has said they have no intention of attacking their customers who download on the internet. They feel the interent is only bringing them into the main stream and making them new pervs. Wicked pictures and Vivid are the only two companies that have anything negative to say about downloading, so I do not download or share their films. But both companies have admited no government entity is or would be willing to take any case to court, EVER. So they don't bother. I like downloading Hollywood movies more than porn but I try to go about in away that I will not be arrested.

I was already part of a very private group who started migrating to release on BT porn sites. I do not fully support this move but I have little say in the matter. In the end, the MPAA has nothing to do with the porn business and so far the FBI is only worried about child porn. Still, I would rather all groups movie away from these sites just to be safe.

If you think the FBI is not involved with any of the private sites thats fine. I happen to think they are setting them up to catch users. Op D-Elite was just a first step. To think they will walk away from the huge problem and not take out more sites is living in denial. They are surely learning from their past mistakes and also gaining narcs from past busts. Im sure they have learned to log events where some users have posted 0day torrents and such. Why do you think the MPAA doenst send letters to private site members? Can the MPAA really not know these sites exist? Hardly. Its likley they are not allowed to do so because the users are part of a criminal investigation. I know no one wants to hear or believe any of this but I feel strong in my convictions. I have no reason to say any of this other than trying to protect people. Im not trying to make poeple switch to my favorite program or anything like that. Its only that I do not want to see the government and the MPAA set up such a large amount of people. To me its so clear that this is whats going on but its so hard to make people think before they download.

You have your opinion and I have mine and thats all well and good. Time will tell the tale. I hope Im wrong. I hope these sites are as safe as you say they are. I hope - - -

If you agree to stop this discussion and bringing it up out of the blue, so will I. If not, we can dance and dance and dance and dance. I get tired of feeling like you dislike me (telling me you want to shoot me, ect ect) because I speak out about what I feel is right. I know you only speak because you think youre right too. There is no need for this, what seems like hate, to build up beyond repair.

    Movies Bad
    Porn Good

    Got it.

One movie is worth $250,000 or time in jail. Well I don't have $250,000 so I might as well tattoo the letter "M" on both of my ass cheeks. That way when the big hairy bad man gets bored he can flip me over and it will say "WoW" instead of “MoM”.
