    Question REALLY slow upload speeds- any help?

    I finally have a fast connection now that I'm in college, but my upload speeds are ridiculously low. I could give better upload speeds with my old 56k. 99% of the people who upload from me, whether through kazaa or WinMX or IRC etc, time out within 5 minutes and get speeds around .75kb/s--but a few can grab up to 300kb/s (very very rare though). What can I do about this? I don't think I'm behind a firewall because then I probably wouldn't be able to connect at all, right? Anyway, I have no problems downloading, just uploading-- and I have XP if that helps at all--probably not, but maybe.

    Again...same problem. I came here looking for a solution. If anyone has any ideas, please help. This problem only started happening recently, and I don't want to be a leech.
