help rar

hello i have a flie it a rar flie it is lock with a password
it as a info flie in there
and a tex file that say password
and then the flie that i want :)

i cant extract it because it aks for a password

any help thanx

Do you have the password or not? If not you should look for it! If you cant find it you can always try bruteforcing it though that will probably take a long time.

check for clues by clicking the file, going to properties. Hit the summary tab and then advanced. I've seen passwords there and urls where you can find the pass.

quit downloading from public sites too, all they do is put passwords and crap on it.

Try all the obvious things you can like words in the file name,the group name or the NFO.If none of those delete it and don't download any more shit from gay sites that allow password protected files.
Or if you want you can learn how to crack RAR passwords.(google).If theres a password on it you can crack it.I find it's usually not worth the time and aggravation.It's easier to find another non gay source.

Take the the name of the file, exactly as you downloaded it and put it in quotes. Do a Google search, with the quoted text.

"Your complete file name.rar"

You can find most files this way, just read the posts and you will prob find the password very quickly.

Very true, anything over four characters is just asking for a suicide LOL!

Go back to the download source and before you clicked the link, look for information that may state the password. If it tells you to go and register at some site, DO NOT do this. It will take your email address and just spam the hell out of it. It may also say "go here and vote three times and the password is the last word in a particular sentence" Again.. just more scams.
