Someone elsewhere was telling me about the Evolution Control Committee. I haven't really had a chance to check 'em out, nor do I really know anything about mash-ups.

Unless you are the following people, I do not particularly wish to associate with you:
    Krell, HelenaP, mountain_rage, mfgbypooter, Mels_Smileys45, excrement_cranium.
That's it for now. This list will be updated whenever I feel like it.

    I love mashups.

Try "2 many DJ's" from the group Soulwax for a really good introduction to this genre.

My favourite is the destiny's child vs Nirvana smells like teen spirit. Awesome.

Also if anyone's into mashups / bastard pop they should definitely check some Plunderphonics. (Which is pretty much what the ECC are about, re: Potato's post)

Grab some Cassetteboy for the best example of plunderphonics IMO, it's not really music as such, but it's pretty damn funny!

I watched cassetteboy play a couple years back at the cube club in Bristol. They played in balaclava's the whole set, cause they're that worried bout getting busted for massive copyright infringement.
