Lightning McQueen is a cocky, rookie race car. Speeding on his way to a big race, he crashes into Radiator Springs, destroying lots of the inhabitants belongings. In order to make up for what he did, the cocky roadster is sentenced to community service. Though he will do anything to get away from the work, McQueen must learn to respect and bond with the Radiator Springs inhabitants in order to get out of the town and back on the racetracks.

Just saw it today, and thought it was really cute with a good story and nice humor. Though, poking fun at the trademark Minnesota accent was a little too much (at least, I'm pretty sure that's what they were aiming for).

I went and saw this yesterday; in Emeryville no less--people were rather excited when the city's sign was shown in the film.
I thought this film was excellent. I was hesitant when I saw the initial trailer with the Incredibles, but the film was of the usual high standard that I have come to expect from Pixar. It was cute, but had substance. It had a message, but was not preachy. All-in-all, this movie cements Pixar's reputation for making high-quality fims that cater to both adults and children alike.
It even got a little tear from myself and the wife. Who knew that a film could obtain emotional resonance when all of the characters were vehicles?
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."
I saw this last night, mavens release was pretty good.

Havn't seen it yet but my nephew keeps saying caaus caaus which I assume means he finally reallized Thomas the Train is boring as all hell so I guess I'll have to see Cars a many multiple times before he gets bored with it as well.
As much as I love the little bastard I can't wait until he can say Terminator or Godfather.
.
did you see the anti-piracy commercial at the start of the maven release. I was pissing myself laughing at the irony.Originally Posted by shawners
