    Changing Lanes

Have you seen the movie "Changing Lanes?" It stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Affleck. What did you think of it?

    I think

Not much. A feud between a rich guy and a violent guy over a file for court.

Only clever thing is that they both want to be good, patch things up and get on with it. They make up in the end, and both turn REAL good.

Generally though a dull sort of film.

    Nope, haven't seen it

I know that this post is completely unnecessary. I just wanted to say that anything with Ben Affleck in it suffers immensely from his inclusion (talentless hack). I know, he has happened to be in some good movies (i.e. Mallrats and Good Will Hunting) but as he is created into a "leading man" by the motion picture juggernaut, his films are becoming far worse.

I see him and am instantly irritated. Bastard.

I have no idea where this deep loathing comes from, I have nothing against him personally, it is just his smarmy on-screen presence.

Perhaps I will watch it someday, it looks so implausible and poorly acted (I mean Ben Affleck IS in it) that it might be a rollicking good time.

    It's actually very plausible

It's a plausible movie, this could happen.

Trouble is I didn't really want to watch it happen. It's so HUMDRUM.

    Episode 2

Gimme. A shot of huge clone army. Now that's eye candy. Violent Samuel Jacks. char. hitting people with a public payphone handset (in the rain) is mind f*ck pointless.

The movie was disappointing, and really made no sense at all.
It should have been a made for TV Movie.

Decent movie, still watchable by all means. However, I can't stand the fact that Affleck is gonna play the title character in the new Daredevil movie. He's the biggest idiot, I mean, who goes to frickin alcohol rehab at the age of 25?

    Nope

    This film rots your balls.

What did Bender Flick say to Samuel's wife to make her go back to him?

You know what? They wanted a happy ending, but they also wanted both charcaters to have a bastard time of it the whole movie.

They figured it wouldn't make sense that she got back together with him but put it in anyways.

    Just been to BBC site

Their synopsis is exactly the same as mine. Except they gave it 4 outta 5.

So I voted and gave it one outta five!

If you find office workers having a bad day interesting ("Oh wow, he stubbed his toe, gee whizz, golly") you'll love it.

Changing my socks is more fun than this film.

right, I'm off to make some banners to stand out side the movies where this crap is showing - I serious on this.

    I would like some Afflack

CCS, the guy in Chasing Amy with Affleck was the incomparable Jason Lee (who is cast so poorly in most films it is sick). He was also in several other films with Affleck directed by Kevin Smith.

To display the lack of talent of Affleck, just look at the reprehensible "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" in which he plays two different roles exactly the same. I mean, one of the roles is as himself and he wasn't even convincing as that! He kills a joke in its presentation. I have always considered Brendan Fraser to be "comedy cancer," but that is only because Affleck has not taken to doing comedy films (unless he has, and I just mistook it for him trying to be dramatic).

The problem with Affleck playing DD is that Matt Murdoch is an intelligent, blind lawyer. As evidenced in his past roles, Affleck is about as convincing as Anna Nicole Smith's quote about her not having fake breasts. Affleck may be wooden, but that won't make him be able to pull off blind or intelligent.

Can you imagine the intelligence of Affleck and Lopez's devil-spawn? I am truly afraid of what People Magazine is going to show about them in the future.

The best part of the commercials for Changing Lanes was describing Ben Affleck as "Academy award winning" like it was for his acting (it was for writing Good Will Hunting w/Damon). I just started howling when I saw that.
