Disable inbuilt microphone
i have a laptop which has an inbuilt microphone. i was wondering if there was a way to disable this inbuilt mic.
i also have an external microphone which is better quality than this is and it works fine but it doesnt have a mute button. so when i dont want to talk i cant pull the external one out as the inbuilt one will just kick in again.
so any help?

Back to business!
Usually computers with built in devices have there own software in the control panel to enable/disable them. I would suggest mute but you wish to use this other mic so have you checked the BIOS for the options to turn it off?
