got a strange one here for some strange reason i cant play downloaded videos over 100mb properly anymore they play for about five minutes then the sound carries on and the picture freezes
i havent installed anything recently and installed updated graphics card drivers to try to resolve the issue but to no avail, and i am at a loss at what to do next.
also this has effected every video i have not just newly downloaded ones, it has effected ones that used to run fine
if anyone can help i would be most grateful
Download & install latest ffdShow then report back!

alrite mate tried that and it plays now, but in super fast motion, but the sounds normal
Try out a codec pack that has all the basics covered. Just go for the simple package...

Did you tried uninstall, then re-install codecs pack like Auggie2K suggested?
yeah mate still didnt work then i downloaded a new media player, vlc just to see what happened and everything works through that. weird tho media player classic seemed to play every format till something went wrong, so the situation is sorted, but not in a permanent way so if anyone has any advice id be grateful
I guess, it's your media player so try uninstall & re-install. Windows probably also needs clean-up & defrag. maintenance done!
I also like jetAudio Plus player, it supports almost every formats! You should check out a few others players also.
Sorry, it seems the latest ffdShow 5-26-2006 version still has some bugs. I had to uninstall it, then re-install the 4-24-2006 version. Depend on what kind of CPU you have, so download the correct version!
