Cannot download from seeds and peers

Hi,

I see in my list, many peers and seeds that I can connect to, but I can only download from 20% of total number. Do you know why? And how to overcome that?

You won't connect to every single seed and peer (I assume this is a public torrent) but you can connect to more.

Run this patch, it changes the number of allowable half open connections which are needed in file sharing.

Dont change the value too high though, I suggest 500 - http://www.lvllord.de/download.php?u...tch223d-en.zip

Yeah, I'm jumping the gun assuming he has it but the problem makes it seem like he does.

I'm running with SP2 and no patch, downloading at full speed all the time. You don't really need it.... negligible effects.

I'm not good enough to understand the technical words you're talking about :D. My problem is like:

Some of the seeds appear in this window, but I hardly download from them. What is the reason, and what can I do? I disable my firewall program already.

You're probably just on a crappy torrent. Not enough seeds. You won't be able to connect to all the seeds, no one ever does. It seems like I usually connect to 25% max of available seeds. So if there's only 7 or so seeds, connecting to only 2 is normal.

Have you tried a different, very popular torrent? Try one with 100+ seeds and see how you do.

maybe I will try another one. This torrent is a tennis file, so for sure not many ppl want to download it. Do you have any file that have 100+ seeds. Thanks in advance.
