You'll need to provide more info. such as your computer system, any recent changes on your programs and settings, when did the problems started, etc.?

ITs that the xvid is compressed wrong or broken header in it. I have done this before and seen it. Try updating to latest DVD Santa or user nero express. I had trouble with Alias season 5 episode 1. nothing would convert a broken file. it would be played fine in divx player. But this could be a isolated issue.

    Shawners,

If that TV episode plays fine on your DivX player, did you try using VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod to fix it? Cut to the first key frame, then re-encode the file should do it!
