Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm just wondering if anyone could help me with a problem im having.
Basically my BitLord Downloads are super slow.
I've a Linksys WRT54GS Router and am on a blueyonder 10Mb connection.
In the router setup i've enabled port range forwarding for "BitLord" ports "6881-6999" I'm still getting very slow downloads ranging from 3Kb/s - 40 Kb/s. Occasionally i get a 100Mb/s download rate, but not very often.
If i download something off a website, it downloads at ~900Kb/s.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Dump bittlord, it's ad supported crap. Get something like utorrent
Torrents are often unpredicatable and unstable entities. Try download a popular torrent, e.g. a recently aired tv programme and see if you can make out a speed. Be sure to check the health of a torrent from the site you get it from before you begin downloading it.
Now change your port range both in your torrent programme and router to something 2000 + because those ports are unlikely to be capped by your ISP, where as 6881-6999 may be.
Try a different client such as uTorrent and see if the speeds get better. Also are you downloading a torrent with many seeders?
