i cant upload or make a direct connection... wireless related?

so heres the deal: whenever someone tries to get a file from me it times out. that sucks because i want to share! i think it might be because of my new wireless internet but im not sure. if anyone knows anything about this let me know so i can get my files out there to everyone.:drunken_s

try the same thing with a cat5 cable connecting your computer to the router and see if it still happens
unless you mean this new wireless internet that you're on is a wireless WAN
what ISP is it ?

If you're newly coming through on a router, you're going to have to learn how to port-forward.
