Dell's purchase of Alienware got us thinking about the most expensive desktop computers known to man (we said desktops -- so no servers or supercomputers allowed). Granted, the DIY crowd could shave 50 percent or more off of these prices. Still if money were no object.... Send us your suggestions in the feedback below! -- By Keith Axline

Dell + Alienware
You may have to adjust your lifestyle around this paint job, but it'd be worth it. Dell's $10,000 collector's edition PC was announced shortly after it acquired Alienware this week. This is the first PC to include four nVIDIA graphics cards in SLI, though Alienware now offers it on their site.

Dell will make a 600-800 dollar version of it. It will include a celeron processor, 40 gig hard drive. 1Nic card, a 16mb shared video card. Maybe jbl speakers, 512mb ram, windows xp home edition, and of course. 4 usb ports.

I like the way the vodoo is.. 24 grand.. And only 1 year warranty. You could build it for less, of course you can skim on the 2 extra 500 drives, and one of the dvd burners, as well as logitech mouse. =)
