    Exclamation Sérious project

    I guy i dont want to make a p2p file sharing but a http download program... i explain!!
    -i want to make a program that when we search for a program it will search on a Server for the file availity!!
    -it will dresd up all the file information same as a p2p but the file will still on the server!!
    -And the second option its that the user will be able to upload a file direcly to the server!!

    plz put your comment and your sugestion about what it recommand set up all this stuff,

    It's sounds like you want to reinvent Hotline. There is a reason nobody has used it for years.

    An FTP server and an FTP client with a search faculity would be close to what you want.

    This does not make sense.
    Describe what you want to do in more detail.

    Will anyone be able to access the server or just trusted people?

    i will make this software for my friends so trusted people!!
    - i dont have my own server i will use free account that offer some site and my program will search on those account!!!
    -And yes the file will stay on the server and the user will be able to acces to this file and upload some file if they wont!!

    but why i shoud use i have visual basic 6e and visual c+!! or shoud i use C# or pascal something like that?

    Why not post on USENET.. And people with usenet accounts will download and spread the file to other networks.. Re-invent the wheel.. 4th generation.

    with all the filesharing aps out there....why would you need to make this? Have you looked at whats available?
