    theres a couple different

sites like that.... the world of p2p has become overpopulated with people just trying to turn a buck... as one "business management technologist" once told the members of this site in a different thread, "it wont stay free forever"

I do not agree with this, p2p wil always be free for those who are well informed... and it is sites such as ZP that will see that we remain well informed about the crap that is out there . which is why I dont understand said "business management technologist" in the slightest. well, other than his desire for personal wealth, that is an age old drive for many people, money grubbing assholes all.

and before anyone plays devils advocate, yes, Iwant wealth as well- and personal freedom to go along with it... but not in any way at the expense of others, especially the p2p community.

Gorphon you are very naive then if you think that "your wealth" won't come at the expense of others. :-/

    and you dark messenger...

come very close to trolling, something I remember you posting incessantly about.

wealth does not have to come at the expense of others.... if you offer a worthwhile service for a decent price, of course others will spend their money (energy in the final evaluation, you must work for money after all) to recieve that service or that product. IF it is worth it, rather than just a scam to raise money, how then is that making money at the expense of others? In my mind, that is trading one thing of value for another. so please, rather than just call me naive, why not explain your viewpoint?

    I agree with Gorphon.
the world is basicly poisoned and imaginations so limited. Most cannot imagine a way to live and live well without manipulating and ripping off each other and the enviorment.

I do believe chaos and harmony or good and bad will always coexist, but if life is extremely unbalanced, then societies fracture and fall and the game begins again.

Modern life is very unbalanced, perhaps things will get better before to much longer. Perhaps not.

    Peace!

    rickio...

your post reminded me of something I used to think about a lot in my hallucinatory days.... and that is society as a colonial organism... just as all living creatures are born infantsonly to grow old and mature before old age sets in any of its forms (wisdom, cynicism, deceit, corruption, happiness... whatever) so to do societies. They rise and fall, live and die just as surely as the tides of the ocean ebb adn flow, except that eventually they are sure to die...
In the case of the USA, it is my believe that our 'Heart" (that is to say, those that govern said society) is impure and full of deciet and so most people in this land and around the world expect that everyone is corrupt or corruptable, that everyone has an angle, that everyone is out only for themselves... and this is just not so, though it does give many people prefect rationalizations for their own nefarious practices in both business and in life.

I really like what you said about societies Rickio, it reminded me of the crashing crescendo of waves in the ocean, hence the reference to tides I guess.

as for how this pertains to p2p, well, unfortunately this idea provides just another medium for those people to practice their own personal form of capitalization in pursuit of the holy dollar. it is my belief that there are just some things that should and WILL always remain free. so ZP, thanks for providing a portal (cydoor included :shy hehe) through which people can educate themselves in all things p2p related.
