    Unreachable Help

    I need help with my Belkin server for eDonkey. I followed the Unreachable FAQ on the website and still cannot get Reachable status... my firewall is turned off.

    Here is my server:



    I am not sure what is wrong...

    These ports have to match what you have set in Edonkey

    If the port in Edonkey, or any P2P app is 19541, then you have to use the 19541 for the port number.

    Download the instructions for your Belkin model number and read over them. Also check out portforward.com

    Got that...

    I have one more question.... before I downloaded eDonkey and started to download files, I had 18 GB of free space left on my computer but after these files were somewhere saved on my computer, I only have 7 gb of free space. I shut down eDonkey for a little bit, and I opened it back up and my downloads do not show up... where did they go?

    I also don't get why there are very great search results but the files being downloaded either do not download or take forever... and the files I chose had 5 or more users also downloading.

    I shut down eDonkey for a little bit, and I opened it back up and my downloads do not show up..
    This sort of buggyness is why I recommend emule instead of edonkey.
    Look in the edonkey incoming and temp directorys for large files.

    Files often take a day or two to start. Once you get some parts and start uploading those parts to other people getting the same file the credit system will start to kick in.
