    Windows Update Help

When using Windows Update, do recommend using the Automatic Update feature or is it better to perform updates manually, the reason i ask is because updates can put things on your computer that you don't really want, is this a issue with Windows

    Thank You

What I have is the Automatic Updates on, but the option set to notify me so I can choose what to download. It's much handier.

I turn my Automatic Updates off. I prefer to just check for Updates Manually

You can find out about updates/hotfixes on microsofts website. You can go to control panel>add/remove programs and expand one of the KB# 's you see. That will give you a link to microsofts website and from there you can easily find whatever you need on any update/hotfix.
