low download speeds

i generally get under 5kbps, sometimes it goes above that for a few secopnds.

i've opened necessary ports. i dont use the defualt one, i use 49152.

i have no NAT errors.

i have cable internet and can easily download files at 300+ kbps off of websites.

i've optimized the max connections etc based on my connection (as far as i know)

what am i doing wrong? why do other people get 200+kbps regularly?

Did you put a downloading limit on your downloads by accident?
Who is your ISP?
How fast is your connection?
What client/network are you using?
