Hi everyone, I got a question I'm hoping someone cold help me solve.
Being from Canada, sometimes when I visit some American websites I'm not able to gain access to them because I'm not from the U.S. An example of this would be going to www.nbcolympics.com and trying to watch video, when I do a message appears stating I can't view the video because I'm in a different country.
So to work around this, would it be as simple as editing a registry key to change my country from Canada to the U.S?
I've found this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\Geo (I use Windows XP)
And in there is a string called 'Nation" and the value is set at 39. So then is the number 39 the code number for Canada? If so then the U.S has to be some other number.
If this would work could someone help me out, maybe provide me with a number or something?
Thanks

A more likely solution is to use an American proxy.
Also, clear your browser's cookies, or they might know it's you coming back. Hopefully it's only your browser's info they are using to tell where you are.
Since the Olympics are supposed to be games for the world to participate in, why would video be blocked in certain countries, that just doesn't seem right.
Use a proxy generator such as Invisible Browsing.
