    Pxe-e61: Media Testfailure, Check Cable

I keep getting this error and it's driving me crazy. I get downstairs after making the disk and all. It keeps giving me this error so i do some checking. I find out my bios thinks tha the hard drive is busted. Luckily I have two HD's so I'm good. mI try to install windows on the other drive that works but it won't let me and keeps giving me the previously mentioned code. I try resetting the bios, cutting off all powe to the bios and the comp, switching IDE cables, Everything works fine but i keep getting the error and it won't let me boot from CD or fix this problem. Help once again :( Today sucks

What it MEANS? Are you kidding me? PXE boot means booting from the network cable. It means, that your BIOS has a boot order, and PXE shouldnt even be one of your choices.

Enter the BIOS, set boot order to HD then CD-Rom then Floppy, but not PXE.

After you save the changes, watch the boot process, and see if ot is detecting your HD and CD.

What I ASSUMED was that if you even type PXE in google, such as the link I provided it would tell you what PXE boot is, and how to address it, like the first 2 dozen posts in the google search.

Ur one of those people who can't fight or defend themselves so u pride urself in online scrutiny. I love people like you because they always go down in flames in real life whether it be a fight cuz u didn't know when to shut-up, or getting punked cuz u can't do anything unless they are behind a keyborard and screen

PS its a sign of mental weakness to have to resort to a fight when you are wrong.

He is not an ass. A bit of a grump, which I am one of also, but he wants people to learn what to ask for when Googling. He has answered the same question over, and over here, so often it would make you sick. If, after you do a dilligent search, cant find the answers, he is glad to help.

Also, when using google, it is not always the question, but how it is asked that provides the correct answer.

I have found myself on countless occasions getting ready to post something on here only to think as I am about to submit "What would Krell say to this thread" and countless times I have found myself scrapping the thread and firing some stuff at google to see if I can find the answer which I usually can.
