Is there a linux thing for windows that is a bit like WINE? Because I want to try out linux without getting rid of XP so I was wondering if anyone knew of a linux emulator. thanx in advance

i dont know any emultors but what about lindows..i hewre its a linux os that can run basily all windows progs...what i heard anyway:D

Lindows can't run windows prog's any better than a regular linux distro with a wine installed can, wine is still alpha-quality software so emulating is a very risky thing. and I believe there is something called lin4win, try searching for that..
Check out "Phat Linux" an "Winlinux"
If your totally knew to linux go with Winlinux. You can install it from windows an start it from windows as well. Problem is it's shareware.
Same with Phat linux but it's not nagging.
Phat linux on the other hand is a bit harder to install an work with....
