Get Real Alternative, then use Windows Media Player Classic included!

DB is right here but you don't have to use WMP Classic, you can stick with WMP.

I found that windows media player doesn't like certain .rm files (I think the older version codec), where as wmp classic has no such issues with them.

As good as VLC is and as much as I love it, it -doesn't- play real media files.

How about UltraPlayer. The only bad is that it last update was 2001. It allows MP3, WMA, MP2, MP1, WAV, CDA, WMV, ASF, MPEG, AVI, MIDI, RM, RAM, RA, RV, RF, and AIFF, yea I know no newer file type like ogg. I don't use it Ijust know of it.

Jetaudio plays all the above and ogg .It also plays flac, mkv and quicktime files and you can rip CD's with it.It will detail you car for about twenty bucks. No wait thats my friend Steve.
I think they should change the name to jetmedia player or something.I kept seeing rave reviews about it but the name just gave me tunnel vision. It would have become my #1 player(nothing else is even in the same league) a lot sooner if I hadn't been thrown off by the name. Now I am a shameless fanboy.

I've had problems in the past playing rm files with plays other then Real Alternative or RealPlayer.

Although i know people here don't like RealPlayer, it isn't as bad as people make it out to be ...

Or you can just convert the files
